Fundraising Volunteers
Interning at the Make-A-Wish Foundation has been an excellent experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here for so many reasons. First and foremost, the staff is friendly and eager to teach me about the organization. The environment they have created around the Wish house is warm and inviting! I always feel at ease asking questions to learn more about Make-A-Wish.
In particular, I learned quite a lot about the Annual Gala Dinner & Auction. Specifically, I learned about fundraising and event planning. I spent the majority of my time gathering items for the auction and planning an event to raise money for one of our wish kids, Ethan.
Overall, interning at the Make-A-Wish Foundation has been a valuable experience that I will remember forever. This organization has a wonderful mission that makes coming to work a joy! I am thankful for this rewarding, educational, and fun experience. I look forward to being involved with Make-A-Wish throughout the future.
